CARB stands for California Air Resources Board. They are the EPA for the state of California, that set up special emission rules.

All of WINCO generators that are CARB approved are also EPA approved, BUT not all of our EPA approved products are CARB approved.

  • 50 State = CARB Approved
  • 49 State = Not CARB Approved

California also has regional air resource boards that have the authority to make more stringent regulations in higher pollution zones. Some products may require special permitting from the local air resources board responsible for the installation location. The installer or final purchaser is responsible for verifying compliance for any specific installation.
