Should I be worried about relying on a 25-year-old generator with 350 hours on it? Or are they just plain bulletproof? It was a well-maintained backup unit for a mansion.

Can I still get parts for the generator and auto transfer switch?

Craig, some parts are available for the old Winco transfer switches. I would need the model to know if the main components, such as the contactors, are still available. Parts such as the relay, toggle switch and exercise clock are readily available.

Craig, the old saying is “if it aint broke, don’t fix it”. Yes, you have a very reliable model that, if well maintained, should last many years before wearing out. Some parts have become obsolete for the generator and engine on your model, however I would not replace it for just that reason alone.
