      Hey Michael,

If you look at page 7 of the Operator’s Manual, (which is available in the Service Downloads of this page), it is 180 Cubic Feet per Hour of Natural Gas to run this portable at full load.

    Hello,
    New to secluded living.
Will this run 24/7 without doing itself damage for a prolonged outage.
Live out in country , can’t see next door neighbor.
I have 1000 gal. propane tank.(extended use fuel no problem)
Only want to run essentials ; sump pump, water pump(220v), refrig., freezer. (totals a little less than 30amp. full up running).
Lost power for 8 days early spring. I burnt a 10000w Champion Generator to the ground.(one that was “Highly Recommended” to me).
Already have 30amp. Manual Transfer Switch , just for these items (4 circuits)
I need a plug in portable generator that will run 24/7 for an extended period. I “do not want” a locked to the location Standby.
    Thanks
    Roy

Hello Carol, The HPS9000VE does not turn off automatically. These units must be turned off manually. If you are looking for a generator to turn off automatically, you will want to look at our standby PSS units. The PSS units are permanently installed and are turned and and off by an automatic transfer switch. For more information, you can call our sales department at 507-357-6821.

    Wet generator

    Gerard Ulto

Hello. I have a HPS9000VE/E that is over 10 years old that was in a flood during hurricane Ida. Based on the fact that I found water in the oil pan, air filter and spark plug socket it looks like it was completely under water. I have completely drained it of all fluids and I took the panel off with the outlets and also saw that the capacitors had gotten wet and I have dried them and sprayed the contacts with WD-40. I was looking to see if there is control board or anything else that I should check before I try to start it up again. Thanks for your help with this.

What hose or line do I need to use the option for natural gas. I want to hook it to my outdoor gas line that I use for my BBQ
Is it the same type of hose?

Call us crazy, but we just want you to get the right generator. We provide, where possible and applicable, our competitors’ model that is comparable with our own. We are unafraid of our pricing or our products. So if you can’t figure out why a competitor is beating us in price, please ask. We can usually provide a few reasons. If there isn’t a comparable product, we’ll use this space to tell you why.

  • There are a few Tri-fuel options on the market, but none that come installed from a generator manufacturer and EPA-approved. Most have to be installed by an authorized technician or the engine warranty will be voided.
